Everyday facial expressions—like frowning, smiling, and laughing—are a natural part of life. However, over time, these repeated movements contribute to the formation of fine lines and wrinkles, particularly around the eyes, forehead, and mouth. These signs of aging can sometimes make you appear more tired or older than you feel.
Botox® and Dysport® offer a non-invasive, effective solution to smooth these lines and restore a more youthful, refreshed appearance.
Botox/Dysport are derived from botulinum toxin and used to treat dynamic wrinkles resulting from the repeated facial movements while smiling, frowning, or squinting.
Some of the most common dynamic (moving) wrinkles for which patients seek treatment include:
You are considered a good candidate for Botox/Dysport treatment if you:
During your initial consultation, Dr. Padron will perform a comprehensive facial examination. In the process, he will thoroughly evaluate the shape of your face, as well as the presence of wrinkles and lines. Using a mirror, he will discuss your facial evaluation and the role of Botox, Dysport or dermal fillers in your treatment.
Your treatment has the following three phases:
In preparation for your Botox/Dysport treatment, you’ll need to avoid all blood thinners, including supplements, fish oil, Vitamin E for 3-6 days, as well as drugs such as aspirin, ibuprofen, Aleve, and Advil. Dr. Padron will provide more detail about this during your initial consultation.
Dr. Padron will be highly precise with your injections to give you the best and most natural-looking results possible with the least amount of product. More Botox/Dysport can be administered after two weeks if you feel it’s needed.
Treatment usually takes 10—30 minutes, where you’ll receive several injections in each area being treated. There will be minimal discomfort — some patients experience mild pressure in the targeted area, although this quickly subsides.
Minimal downtime or recovery is necessary after your Botox/Dysport injections. You should be able to get back to your regular routine immediately after leaving our office, including exercising and returning to work. However, it is best to refrain from vigorous activity for the first 24 hours after surgery, as this could lead to bruising and swelling.
There may be some swelling or redness in the treated areas in the days following treatment, but this usually goes away within days of the treatment.
You probably won’t notice the results for the first 24—48 hours after treatment. After about a week, you’ll see noticeably visible results that will continue to improve for up to a month.
Although Botox/Dysport treatments may be slightly uncomfortable, they typically are completed in 20 minutes or less. Once treatment is complete, patients can return to their regular routine with no downtime and no post-procedure care.
Like any cosmetic treatment, patients can experience mild side effects after treatment. These include:
Since the results of Botox/Dysport treatment typically last for no more than six months, repeated injections are necessary to maintain any changes.

As time passes, the skin naturally develops wrinkles, deep lines, sagging, and a loss of facial volume. Factors such as prolonged sun exposure, environmental pollutants, and the gradual decline of collagen—a key structural protein—contribute to these visible signs of aging.
Dermal fillers, also known as injectable fillers, offer a non-surgical solution to restore lost volume, smooth wrinkles, enhance lip fullness, and rejuvenate facial contours. Available in a range of formulations, these versatile treatments provide a convenient and effective way to achieve a more youthful, refreshed appearance.
Dermal fillers are gel-like substances injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume, smooth lines, soften creases, or enhance facial contours. Men and women choose this popular facial rejuvenation treatment, often referred to as a “liquid facelift”, which can be cost-effective for looking younger without surgery or downtime.
Fillers are injected into the skin using fine, medical-grade needles and are used to contour and plump facial features such as the lips, cheeks, and midfacial region. They can do much more than smooth out wrinkles, and here are a few of the common issues dermal fillers can help address:
Because every patient’s body is different and can respond differently to the fillers, Dr. Padron recommends scheduling follow-up treatments to maintain the results. He also recommends that all patients maintain an at-home skincare regimen to preserve their results. For this regimen, a combination of antioxidants, sunscreen, moisturizers, and retinol is recommended, all of which are available from our skincare range of products.
General guidelines for filler longevity is as follows:
A filler may have a longer or shorter duration on different parts of the face. For example, with the lips tending to have more movement, filler injected into the lips tends to break down faster. The areas under the eyes, cheeks, and temples have less movement, and filler injected in these parts of the face usually lasts longer. Also, please note that results will vary between each patient.
There are several benefits to using fillers for facial rejuvenation, and these include:
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)
PRP is a regenerative treatment that uses a concentrated portion of the patient’s own blood, rich in platelets and growth factors, to promote healing and rejuvenation. It is commonly used for skin rejuvenation, hair restoration, wound healing, and post-surgical recovery.
PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin)
PRF is an advanced version of PRP that contains a higher concentration of white blood cells, platelets, and fibrin. Unlike PRP, PRF does not use anticoagulants, allowing the formation of a fibrin matrix that gradually releases growth factors over time. PRF is particularly effective for under-eye rejuvenation, collagen stimulation, and deep tissue healing.
Both PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) are used for regenerative and aesthetic treatments, but they have different applications based on their properties. Here’s a breakdown of their key indications:
